Since 2010, Bethany Retirement Living has been honoring those who have made an impact in our community by hosting the annual “Senior of the Year” awards. This program recognizes those who have had an influence on individual lives and those who continue to make Fargo-Moorhead an amazing place to live. While Bethany hosts the event, we want to highlight that the nominees do not have to be affiliated with Bethany in any way. The only qualifications required for nominees are that they are aged 65 or older, and either live or have had an impact in Cass, Richland, or Clay County.
Do you know a teacher who went the extra mile for their students to succeed? A church volunteer who always gave you a smile when you needed it? A small business owner who humbly works hard for their family, without needing any recognition or praise? A nurse who always showed up early and stayed late to make sure everyone was taken care of? Who has impacted your life?
Seniors are recognized in five categories: Business, Community Involvement, Education & the Arts, Faith, and Health & Wellness. Individuals can either nominate a senior by visiting the Bethany website, or by simply calling and giving us the name and contact information so we can follow up to get all the details needed. Senior of the Year nominations are now open, and will be closing on Friday, August 6th. As of now, we plan to announce this year’s recipients at a live, gala event on Thursday, September 23rd, at the Hilton Garden Inn.
