Activities are Endless at Bethany Retirement Living

At Bethany, we strive to make our residents’ experience fun and engaging. That’s why you’ll always see some type of activity, event or outing going on. From musical performances, bingo and holiday celebrations to trips to the casino or the mall, the happenings each month are structured from feedback and requests received from residents. Bethany Retirement Living Towers RA Lead, Kim Taxdahl states, “We are constantly asking residents what they like to watch, play, do, etc. We plan by their requests.”

Some of the most popular activities include our morning exercise program called Sit & Fit, trips to Sandy’s Donuts & Coffee, and traveling for lunch to small town nostalgic cafés. Many times, groups will travel to residents’ home towns so they are able to have lunch and catch up with old friends and family as well as see changes to the area. Overall, residents enjoy gathering as a group for good conversation and friend making. It keeps them active, interested and involved. Typically larger events draw 40-50 residents at a time.

Looking ahead, Bethany Retirement Living has planned a visit to the NDSU Greenhouses to see how they create large hanging baskets. Residents also get to attend several afternoon Redhawks games this summer and shop local produce and goods at the Red River Market downtown.

With the various exercises and activities planned each month, there is sure to be something for everyone. Bethany Retirement Living is committed to personalizing the experience and care, so residents can reside, relax, and rehab in a community voted “Best Retirement Community” in the Red River Valley eight years in a row!
