Bethany Retirement Living will host two workshops concerning healthcare planning titled “Your Decisions Matter.” The programs each begin at 2:00 pm and will last approximately an hour. The seminars will be held at Bethany on 42nd (4255 30 Ave S, Fargo) on Thursday, April 12 and at Bethany on University (201 University Dr S) on Tuesday, April 17. The presentations are open to the public and there is no charge for the workshop but registration is encouraged.
All adults can benefit from thinking about what their healthcare choices would be if they are unable to speak for themselves. These decisions can be written down in an advance directive so that others know what their wishes are.
Workshop participants and their families will learn the importance of having wishes recorded, how to have the discussion with family members, how to designate an agent and how to complete the necessary and appropriate documents. The workshop will be presented by the Faith Community Nursing & Health Ministry of Sanford Health and by Social Services from Bethany Retirement Living.
