Delegates from sponsoring congregations participated in the Annual Meeting of Bethany Retirement Living by mail-in vote due to the changes in requirements for social distancing, and in an effort to flatten the curve of the Novel Coronavirus. Re-elected to second three-year terms were Lianne Rockstad and Charlotte Rusch.
Lianne Rockstad, Walcott, is a retired Business Owner of AB Art Gallery. Lianne has served as a past board member of the Kindred Area Dollars for Scholars and the ND State Dollars for Scholars and is a member of the Ladies Oriental Shrine Waheed Court #81. In her past employment with H.C. Price Company, she spent 23 years working in a subcontractor role on the Trans-Alaska pipeline. Lianne is a member of Walcott Lutheran Church.
Charlotte Rusch, Fargo, is an associate attorney with the Vogel Law Firm. Charlotte is a member of the North Dakota and Minnesota State Bar Associations, Cass County Bar Association, North Dakota Defense Lawyers Association and the Defense Research Institute. She is a member of Berthold Baptist Church and her husband, Logan, is a member of New Hope Lutheran Church in Leonard. Charlotte and her husband have two sons.
Officers elected are Charlotte Rusch, Fargo, Chair; Jack Rydell, Fargo, Vice Chair; Mary Johnson, Oxbow, Treasurer; and Lianne Rockstad, Walcott, Secretary. Other Trustees include Paulette Amundson, Dan Beauchamp, Bruce Davidson, Neal Eriksmoen, Martha LeClerc, all Fargo, and Ben Carlsrud, West Fargo, and Dr. David Glatt, Perham.
Bethany Retirement Living, a senior living community, was founded in Fargo in 1939 and is affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). Bethany provides high-quality care to the elderly in skilled nursing, memory care, transitional care, rehabilitation, assisted living, basic care, senior apartments, and personal care programs.
