Giving Hearts Day 2019

By January 24, 2019March 23rd, 2021News

While Bethany Retirement Living is a large organization that receives most of its revenue through fees for service, we were founded in 1939 as a non-profit organization. There are no individual owners or shareholders as we are sponsored by 38 area churches to provide care to seniors. This has allowed us to carry out our mission of providing living opportunities in a senior community shaped by Christian values.

We are excited to participate in the 2019 Giving Hearts Day on February 14th. Giving Hearts Day is a 24-hour on-line giving event for charities across North Dakota as well as Northwestern Minnesota. Every Giving Hearts Day gift of $10 or more will be matched until we reach our cap of $20,000. Ultimately, we hope to exceed $30,000 in contributions to support improving our technology, training our care providers, and making our two Bethany campuses even safer for our residents and employees.

As people are living longer, growing health problems make it impossible for many to stay at home. Providing nursing and personal care, meals, entertainment, and all the other things found at Bethany Retirement Living wouldn’t be affordable outside of a place like Bethany. By entrusting the care of your loved one to Bethany, family members can ensure they are receiving everything they need. This enables family members to enjoy time with their loved one without the heavy responsibility of providing care.

At Bethany Retirement Living, we are extremely grateful for the donations we receive as they have allowed us to continually “lead the pack” in providing leading-edge care for those who call Bethany “home”. In fact, FORUM readers have voted Bethany the Best Retirement Community eight years in a row. To continue offering this level of quality care, we need the support of all donors to invest in the “extras” that we and family members want for our loved ones. If you are considering a donation, please visit www.givingheartsday.orgfor more information.
