Giving Hearts Day has been a beacon of hope for the community, providing charities like Bethany Retirement Living an opportunity to continue enriching our residents’ lives. In typical years, the Bethany Auxiliary conducts several fundraising events that, due to COVID restrictions, we have not been able to host. These events generate dollars that go toward special purchases such as devotional books, movies, and music/communications devices and well as many other items and services. With that being said, Giving Hearts Day has really allowed us to bridge that gap during these uncertain times!
Not only do the generous donations enrich the lives of our residents but also positively affects employees of all levels throughout our organization. Our caregivers do an amazing job of providing the personal, loving attention residents need to live as healthy and full a life as possible. Our Community Life team, Social Services, Chaplain, and others help provide care that isn’t specifically health-related. We strive to not only meet the medical needs of residents but also their social, emotional, and spiritual needs. Through support received on GHD, we are better able to do so.
Your generous donations will enable us to continue to provide essential items and directly improve our ability to care for those who call Bethany Retirement Living “home”. Moreover, our residents can continue to enjoy access to the world through technology – with new ways of staying connected, entertained, and informed! If there is a silver lining to COVID, it’s an enhanced ability to utilize technology to help make our residents’ lives more full.
